Mahe Island

Of the 115 islands that make up the Seychelles, Mahe Island is the largest. Home to 86% of the country’s population, it is a wonderful choice for a traditional tropical wedding destination.

Always imagined saying ‘I do’ to the man you love surrounded by coconut trees, with sand between your toes?
Tucked away on the sparkling shores of the Indian Ocean, Mahe Island really is an island paradise. The white sand beaches of Mahe’s most popular resorts, such as Beau Vallon, make a wonderful wedding location or, if you’re looking for something a little different, why not head to one of the islands two national parks: The Baie Ternay Marine National Park, or the Port Launay Marine National Park.
Mahe offers almost year-round good weather, so you can enjoy cocktails and BBQ curries on the beach whenever you choose to visit.

Mahe is a great choice for your destination wedding because it also offers so many options to entertain and delight your wedding guests once the ceremony is over, and you’re officially man and wife.

The island is home to Victoria, which is the capital of the Seychelles. The city is well-known for its Créole architecture, and is famed for its vibrant market where you can buy fish, fruit, and locally-produced clothing and jewellery.

For convenience, Mahe Island is also home to the Seychelles International Airport, which will make it easy for you and your guests to reach their destination. You’ll spend less time travelling, leaving you with much more time to relax and enjoy your wedding celebrations.
